Get those SMOKEY EYE effect!!

Smoky eyes are a popular trend in dramatic eye makeup. Successful smoky eyes depend on proper blending. Smoky eyes look great when the shadows and eyeliner blend together so you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. Additionally, smoky eyes depend on pairing a light, neutral eyeshadow with a dark, deep shadow. The following steps can be used with any shadow and eyeliner combination:-

INSTRUCTIONS:-

1.Prepare the eyelid with a cream concealer or eyeshadow primer. Apply the concealer over the entire eyelid and let dry. This helps maintain your eyeshadow's smooth appearance.

2.Apply a pencil eyeliner. Draw a line against the upper lash line from the inner corner towards the outer edge. Using the same pencil, create small dots between your lower lashes. Smudge the upper line and lower dots with a cotton swab or an eyeliner brush. Black and gray eyeliner create the best smoky eye effect.

3.Sweep a light eyeshadow over the entire eyelid from the lashes to the brow bone with an eyeshadow brush. Ivory hues work well.

4.Blend in a darker shadow. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend a darker shadow up from the lashes to the crease. Do not go past the crease. Blend the darker shadow with the eyeliner so that the eyeliner disappears into the shadow. Be sure to blend so that there are no distinct lines of color on the lid. You can use any dark shadow, such as gray, brown or green.

5.Apply at least two coats of mascara for dark lashes. You may also want to curl your lashes for added drama.
